We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

For FSG, 2024 was a dynamic year: The company presented its products at numerous trade fairs and leading exhibitions, both in Germany and internationally. FSG focused on sectors such as rail transport, construction machinery, and agricultural vehicles and technology. Its portfolio also offers high-performance solutions for automation.

At the iVT Expo in Cologne in June, FSG showcased proven technology as well as new products for one of its core industries – construction machinery and commercial vehicles. The two new joystick developments, in particular, attracted considerable interest: the LPR-2515 steering joystick and the robust ST-MHT-GS85 industrial joystick. The latter represents a new generation of handheld control devices for industrial applications: Developed in collaboration with a construction machinery manufacturer, it is designed for a lifespan of 15 million cycles – three times that of conventional devices.

The LPR-2515 steering joystick is part of an alternative control concept for commercial vehicles: it can supplement or replace the steering wheel. This results in improved ergonomics, reduced workload, and new possibilities for driver cab design. The LPR-2515 was also one of the highlights from the FSG portfolio at the iVT Expo in Chicago in August.

Not a trade fair, but a spectacular event nonetheless took place in early September: the joint presentation of the steering joystick with tractor manufacturer AGCO Fendt at the FSG site in Zernsdorf. In addition to representatives from politics and business, FSG employees were especially invited to test the LPR-2515 in practice during a test drive with a Fendt 700 Vario Gen7 tractor. The conclusion: Adapting from a classic steering wheel to a steering joystick is achieved in a very short time.

FSG's home game at InnoTrans in Berlin

The trade fair for rail transport in September has always been a home game for FSG. This year, the miniature Rotary Encoders MH609-II-P and MH609-II-CAN, the new cable-extension sensor model SL00-R, and the gyro-stabilized Inclination Sensor PE-MEMS-XY-CAN-G-GS70 were the focus of their exhibit. FSG's apprentices took the opportunity to visit their company's booth and see how their company presented itself to the industry.

Solutions for automated production

In November, visitors to the FSG booth at SPS 2024 in Stuttgart were treated to a comprehensive overview of the company's sensor solutions for industrial automation. New products attracted considerable interest, particularly the SL00-R cable-extension sensor, the MH609-P programmable miniature Rotary Encoder, and the ST-MHT-GS85 industrial joystick. Automation is another key sector for FSG, and Stephan König, Sales Director at FSG, was extremely pleased with how the trade fair went: "The SPS trade fair is an indispensable meeting place for discovering and exchanging information on current trends and innovations in the automation industry."

The trade fair year concluded with bauma CHINA in Shanghai at the end of November, the leading trade fair for construction machinery and mining technology. Interest was high, and visitors were impressed by the diversity and flexibility of FSG's solutions. Stephan König commented: "Our products clearly resonate with the current market in this region and are ideally suited to meet the demands of the dynamic Asian market."

The first trade fair dates for 2025 have already been set, at which FSG will be present as an exhibitor – including bauma 2025 in Munich and AGRITECHNICA 2025 in Hanover, the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology.
