We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.
FSG Fernsteuergeräte will present its entire product portfolio at the international trade fair for industrial automation SPS 2024, covering an area of almost 100 square meters. On display will be proven products as well as several new items, such as the robust SL00-R Draw Wire Sensor, the programmable miniature Rotary Encoder MH609-P, and the modular industrial joystick ST-MHT-GS85.
Visitors to SPS 2024 can expect a comprehensive overview of what the long-established company has to offer in terms of sensor solutions for industrial automation at the FSG booth (Hall 4A, Stand No. 500).
SL00-R Draw Wire Sensor – compact, robust, precise
The SL00-R Draw Wire Sensor from FSG combines robustness with a slim design. This opens up numerous new possibilities for users to utilize this precise yet cost-effective length measuring system. The V2A stainless steel housing (80 x 80 mm) offers a variety of mounting options on all sides for maximum flexibility during installation. A Rotary Encoder can be mounted on either side of the housing, and the Draw Wire is oriented to the left or right depending on the application. If required, the cable can also be guided in any desired pull direction using an attached pulley (optional accessory). The SL00-R-GS80 demonstrates its strengths wherever precise measurement data is required in automation, where the working environment demands a robust design, or where compact dimensions are crucial.
Miniature Rotary Encoders of the MH609 series
The miniature Rotary Encoders from the proven MH609 series are primarily used where space is very limited, for example, for position detection in control or operating devices. The Hall sensor, designed for high reliability, is redundant, enabling the Rotary Encoder to detect angular ranges from 0 to 360°. Signal output is available via either a 4–20 mA or a CAN bus interface. The new MH609-P variant allows users to freely program the rotation angle using FSG's proprietary software. This means the same Rotary Encoder model can be used for various applications with different rotation angles, reducing inventory management effort and costs.
Compact and cost-efficient – ST-MHT-GS85 industrial joystick
The ST-MHT-GS85 model represents FSG's new generation of handheld controllers for industrial applications. Its development focused on robust construction, long service life, and high cost-efficiency. The device is designed for an exceptionally long lifespan of 15 million cycles – three times that of conventional controllers. Despite this performance, the unit is exceptionally lightweight and compact. The joystick is individually configurable and compatible with all FSG handle models, which can be customized to suit specific applications.
At the FSG booth, you can also discover many other products, such as the LPR-2515 steering joystick and the prototype of a cable-operated Rotary Encoder with an electric return motor. The FSG team looks forward to personal interaction with partners, customers, and interested parties at SPS 2024, booth 500 in hall 4A.
