Among them are several developments that have set milestones in the field of sensor technology, such as the premium SL3000 series Draw Wire Sensors. Input devices like foot pedals or the inductive PREMIUM joysticks with digital signal output (CAN, CANopen, or CANopen-safety) offer a range of interesting applications in agricultural technology. Further products such as Rotary Encoders, tilt encoders, and potentiometers complete the range that FSG will present at AGRITECHNICA 2023.

Steering joystick LPR-2515 for agricultural machinery

With the LPR-2515 steering joystick, FSG offers a model that opens up new possibilities for vehicle developers. In vehicles primarily used off-road, joysticks provide a fully-fledged replacement for the traditional steering wheel. Eliminating the bulky steering wheel opens up new avenues for the ergonomic design of the driver's cab, particularly with regard to the HMI (human-machine interface). Combined with function keys, the workload is reduced: a wide range of actions can be performed with just one hand and a single input and control device.

Integrated into the side of the vehicle seat's armrest, the LPR-2515 steering joystick enables the control of even large, heavy vehicles with significantly less arm movement. A feedback unit provides the driver with precise feedback on wheel position; the vehicle's steering capability remains fully intact even if the unit fails. The ability for manufacturers to customize the steering behavior is particularly interesting and forward-looking, for example, with different control profiles for light or heavy vehicles. Profiles that provide varying levels of feedback to the driver depending on the payload and axle load are also possible.

At AGRITECHNICA, FSG is participating in the SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Trophy 2023 with its LPR-2515 steering joystick. In this competition, initiated by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), an international jury of development engineers recognizes outstanding innovations exhibited at the trade fair. With the LPR-2515, FSG has developed just such a product: it has the potential to set new standards in its class. The company is confident of achieving a top ranking with its steering joystick at the SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Trophy 2023.
