We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

As an exhibitor at the iVT Expo 2024 in Cologne (June 26 and 27), sensor technology expert FSG Fernsteuergeräte will be showcasing both proven and new products from its range for construction machinery and commercial vehicles. Among them are two joysticks with the potential to set new standards: the newly developed, exceptionally durable ST-MHT-GS85 and the steering joystick LPR-2515.

As a leading systems provider in the construction machinery sector, FSG will once again be exhibiting at the iVT Expo 2024 in Cologne. In addition to proven models and two new joystick innovations, the robust, compact SL00-R cable-operated sensor is another FSG highlight for the iVT Expo 2024. The current range of foot pedals can also be seen at FSG booth number 3026 .

New product: ST-MHT-GS85 handheld control unit

Small, slim, and exceptionally durable: these are the key features of the newly developed ST-MHT-GS85 joystick from FSG. The revolution lies in its unassuming housing, which can accommodate virtually any grip. While conventional joysticks have a lifespan of approximately 5 million cycles, the ST-MHT-GS85 boasts three times that. To achieve this, FSG has, among other things, reduced the number of moving parts and thus minimized wear. The result is a surprisingly lightweight, compact, and affordable joystick. True to FSG's reputation, a wide variety of configurations are available; thanks to its modular design, all possible movement directions can be selected.

Steering joystick LPR-2515

In construction machinery and agricultural vehicles, joysticks like the LPR-2515 from FSG serve as a replacement or supplement for the traditional steering wheel. In practice, the transition is quick, the ergonomics of the driver's cab are improved, and the workload is reduced. Even large steering angles can be executed with just a few movements and minimal effort using steer-by-wire. At the iVT Expo, FSG is showcasing the LPR-2515 steering joystick, which premiered at AGRITECHNICA last fall and was even nominated for the SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS TROPHY industrial design award. A standout feature of this innovative control device is its dynamic profiles for providing feedback on the steering position; the feedback unit can also provide the driver with haptic signals for payload and axle load.

Cable pull sensor SL00-R

R for robust – the new cable-pull sensor from FSG is above all durable, as well as compact and highly flexible. This allows it to be mounted on commercial vehicles, cranes, or machines wherever space is limited. Even in harsh environments, the SL00-R measures lengths with high precision and reliability; the V2A stainless steel housing (80 x 80 mm) withstands heavy loads. Multiple mounting options on all sides allow for maximum flexibility during installation. Furthermore, a rotary encoder can be mounted on either side of the housing, with the cable pulling to the left or right. Accessories such as a pulley further expand the range of possible applications – and the price-performance ratio is also compelling.

FSG foot pedals for diverse applications

FSG foot pedal encoders are available in numerous designs and variants, used in a wide range of industries as accelerator, single, and rocker pedals. Their robust and low-profile design has made them a proven and established solution in construction machinery, specialized vehicles for logistics and transport, and many other applications. Signal transmission is analog or digital via wear-free magnetic measuring systems, which are redundantly designed for safety-critical applications. FSG will be showcasing its complete range of foot pedal encoders at the iVT Expo 2024 in Cologne.

The FSG team looks forward to speaking personally with partners, customers and interested parties and demonstrating the wide range of innovative sensors and operating devices!
