We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

FSG Fernsteuergeräte presents new sensor technologies for various applications: The sensor specialist will be represented with an exciting program at SPS 2022, the international trade fair for industrial automation, taking place from November 8th to 10th, 2022 in Nuremberg. FSG's highlights include an innovative anemometer with integrated obstacle or hazard warning lights, as well as the new series of Draw Wire Sensors, which are characterized by their particularly compact design.

As one of the leading manufacturers of measurement and sensor technology, FSG is surprising the industry at the SPS with new products and further developments that once again have the potential to set new standards in their field of application:

Wind gauge with LED light unit – now also available as a hazard light variant

"Two in one" is the concept behind FSG's anemometers, which are characterized by their compact size and reduced installation and maintenance requirements: The sensor specialist has uniquely combined wind sensors with an LED lighting unit. The previously available version consisting of an anemometer and LED obstruction light is now complemented by the new, certified AN60-GF2000 hazard light variant, available in various configurations. The new anemometer features a motorized tracking system that automatically aligns it in a horizontal position. The redundant lighting system ensures a constant luminous intensity of 2000 cd, making the device ICAO-compliant and suitable for use near airports at altitudes of 100 meters and above.

The integration of the LED lighting unit solves the problem of shading in conventional combined systems: Previously, depending on the positioning of both devices, either the light signal or the anemometer's star-shaped indicator was shaded by the other element, leading to measurement errors or limited visibility. Thanks to FSG's unique combined design – the light signal sits at the bottom as a base for the wind turbine – both functions can operate at their full potential.

New SL00R series of Draw Wire Sensors

The new SL00R series of FSG's proven cable-extension sensors is particularly space-saving and robust: Designers benefit from the compact, slim dimensions and low weight, comparable to FSG's BASIC SL00 series. At the same time, these cable-extension sensors are characterized by a particularly robust design, matching the features of the premium SL 3000 series: The sensors have a protective metal housing that offers numerous mounting options. Additional pulleys provide highly flexible installation possibilities. FSG cable-extension sensors are perfectly matched to FSG's own Rotary Encoders as standard. However, they also deliver outstanding performance and precision when used with standard sensors from other manufacturers. This makes the new cable-extension sensor series ideally suited for applications with limited installation space and high mechanical stress.

Visitors can expect to see these and many other innovative sensor technology products at FSG Fernsteuergeräte's booth at the SPS trade fair in Hall 4A, Stand 351. The FSG team looks forward to speaking with partners, customers, and other interested parties.
