We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

At SPS 2025 in Nuremberg, the leading trade fair for automation technology, FSG Fernsteuergeräte will be showcasing its portfolio, including several new products, from November 25th to 27th. Among them is the newly developed SL-A series of cable-extension sensors: Length measurement is performed directly within the housing using magnetic scanning, eliminating the need for an external Rotary Encoder. The system can be optionally expanded to include integrated tilt measurement. Also being presented for the first time is a new size of the SL00-R cable-extension sensor.

With the SL-A series, FSG adopts a proven design principle in the field of cable-extension sensors and refines it in an optimized form. The innovative aspect of FSG's solution lies in its design implementation, which enables exceptionally high measurement accuracy and repeatability across the entire measuring range. As a result, the SL-A series devices combine precision, the typically high FSG quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Applications for the SL-A series can be found in general mechanical and plant engineering, mobile machinery, automation and lifting systems. It is particularly interesting for OEM customers who place great value on compact design and precision for series production while also seeking a cost-effective solution.

Available in two versions and three measuring lengths

FSG is presenting two main versions at the SPS trade fair: The basic SL-AS version, with a maximum measuring length of up to 8 m, forms the standard series, focusing on cost-efficiency and reliability, and designed for high-volume applications. In the precision SL-AP series, the rope pull-off is specifically designed for each of the available measuring lengths (2 m, 4 m, and 8 m) to achieve maximum accuracy across the entire measuring range.

Depending on the application, the SL-A series can be configured with analog or digital signal outputs (U/I or CANopen, J1939). For the digital versions, signal processing can also be implemented redundantly: ideal for safety-critical and demanding automation applications. Furthermore, FSG optionally equips the digital versions with an integrated Inclination Sensor.

Extensive accessories, including deflection pulleys, adapter plates and mounting brackets, complement the range of the new series at market launch and offer OEM customers a high degree of freedom in implementing their projects.

SL00-R-GS130: new size for robust Draw Wire Sensor

At the SPS trade fair, FSG is also presenting a new size of the SL00-R cable-operated Rotary Encoder, the SL00-R-GS130. This slightly larger version, compared to the previous SL00-R-GS80 model, has dimensions of 130 x 130 mm and a cable length of 7 m.

The FSG team looks forward to personal interaction with customers, partners and interested parties at SPS 2025 and to showcasing further innovative solutions for automation.

Visitors to SPS 2025 will find FSG's stand in Hall A4, Stand 555 .
