We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

At this year's InnoTrans, FSG Fernsteuergeräte will be presenting its comprehensive sensor program for railway applications in Hall 6.2, Booth 410, alongside a product study of a modularly structured drive and brake lever system. This system can be configured for various requirements using mechanically coupled, freely combinable module components. The central drive lever module with deadman's switch features an extremely robust lever mechanism with spring return. An integrated gearbox transmits the lever movements to a total of four mechanical couplings on the sides and underside of the lever module. Module components for detent/brake, switch, and signal functions can be attached to these couplings as needed. In combination with the detent and brake module, the drive lever can be positioned with detents at individually adjustable angles and positions. The switch module with positively separated cam switches is used to open and close contacts, with freely adjustable switching points and lever angles. The signal module monitors the lever position and converts it into analog or digital signals. The signal module features a corresponding mount for connecting all commercially available Rotary Encoder attachments. The modular joystick system is suitable for installation in all control panel variants and can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. In the sensor sector, the Berlin-based company, which has been developing sensors for safety and automation technology for over 70 years, offers a range of products from Inclination Sensors for level control and potentiometric, inductive, magnetic, or optoelectronic Rotary Encoders to cable length sensors for railway construction machinery, foot pedal encoders, custom-configurable joysticks, and display units for the driver's cab. Among the latest innovations that FSG is exhibiting at InnoTrans is the miniaturized CANopen Rotary Encoder MH609y-II-CAN for axis detection of joysticks, command transmitters, or joysticks. Despite its small diameter of only 22.2 mm and a housing length of less than 39 mm, the 80 g lightweight Rotary Encoder integrates a redundant Hall sensor for angle measurement from 0-360°. Thanks to its dual measurement capability, the Rotary Encoder is also suitable for safety-critical applications.
