We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.
FSG Fernsteuergeräte has developed a new joystick for industrial applications: the ST-MHT-GS85. This model is characterized by its robust construction, long service life, and high cost-efficiency. The ST-MHT-GS85 is individually configurable and compatible with all FSG handle models. The new product will be on display at SPS 2024 in Nuremberg (November 12-14).
The ST-MHT-GS85 model from FSG represents the new generation of handheld control units for industrial applications. Developed in collaboration with a construction equipment manufacturer, FSG is designed for a long service life of 15 million cycles – three times that of conventional units.
Less wear and tear, longer lifespan
To achieve this, FSG completely redesigned the industrial joystick, starting with a reduction in the number of moving parts. The underlying principle: less movement, less wear. Next, the most suitable materials were selected; FSG's experts also implemented numerous other wear-reducing details. The result is a remarkably compact and lightweight pot. The device meets the requirements for robustness and durability and offers excellent value for money, making it more affordable than comparable models.
Christian Baum, Deputy Head of FSG's Design Department: "We opted for a modular design for the ST-MHT-GS85: Customers can equip the joystick with virtually any handle from our product range. Specific handle angles, special rotations – all of this is possible." For the possible directions of movement, there are options that allow movement along the X or Y axis, or simultaneously along both axes, or a stirring mechanism without limitations within the end stops. Another special feature of this new development is that users can replace the handle themselves – a feature offered by only a few joysticks.
FSG is an exhibitor at SPS 2024
At the international trade fair for industrial automation SPS 2024, FSG will present its entire product portfolio, including the new ST-MHT-GS85 joystick, from November 12th to 14th at booth 500 in hall 4A. The FSG team looks forward to personal interaction with partners, customers, and other interested parties.
