We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.
FSG Fernsteuergeräte, a specialist in measurement and sensor technology, is undergoing a change in leadership: Klaus-Dieter Schulz is stepping down from the management of the long-established company. With this new management structure, FSG is setting the course for future development.
With Klaus-Dieter Schulz's departure, FSG is losing not only its long-serving managing director but also a witness to the company's operational history. When the Berlin native began working as a design engineer at Kurt Oelsch GmbH remote control devices in 1964, the final phase of the German economic miracle was underway. FSG played a crucial role in shaping this era with its innovations, setting early milestones in sensor technology. Klaus-Dieter Schulz quickly became a key contributor, taking over the interim management of the design office and becoming head of the laboratory in 1978. Ten years later, Klaus-Dieter Schulz, together with Lutz Peter, formed the management team of the company, which had by then established itself internationally. Finally, in 2010, the now 82-year-old appointed his two sons, Carsten and Christian, as his successors, who then joined the management of FSG remote control devices.
Leadership change at FSG and Union cliché
Effective October 31, 2022, Klaus-Dieter Schulz has withdrawn from the operational management of FSG Fernsteuergeräte. Christian Schulz has taken over as the sole managing director of FSG, leading the sensor technology specialist. Carsten Schulz will assume sole management of Berlin-based UNION-KLISCHEE GmbH. He remains a shareholder of FSG and will continue to advise his brother Christian.
The shareholders of FSG and UNION-KLISCHEE anticipate many positive effects from the newly formed management team, including shorter decision-making processes and numerous new initiatives to respond quickly and agilely to future challenges. In this way, FSG, together with UNION-KLISCHEE, will continue to set milestones and drive forward developments that have always been part of the company's success story.
