We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.
Additional sensor elements in FSG's new FS-MH series foot pedal encoders ensure continuous actuation monitoring and fault detection, thus enhancing safety. Unintentional deflection, for example due to a broken spring or heavy dirt, is detected and signaled by an error message at the output. Made of aluminum and stainless steel, these foot pedal encoders utilize wear-free, non-contact magnetic measuring systems that provide analog or digital and redundant control signals at the output. The pedal position is 33° when unactuated, and the pedal deflection is 18°. These IP67-rated control units are ideally suited for demanding environments and offer high cost-effectiveness thanks to their simple design. Typically, these devices, approved for an extended temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, are used as drive or brake pedals in excavators. FSG can customize both the mounting dimensions of the base plate and the shape of the pedal to meet customer specifications. As a new feature, the manufacturer now optionally integrates force feedback functions, which provide the machine operator with tactile feedback when the pedal is operated.
