We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

School's out – now what? Many young people aren't quite sure what to do next shortly before graduating. An apprenticeship at FSG Fernsteuergeräte will definitely set them on the right path, as the company is an excellent choice for forward-thinking young people interested in technology.

In 2022, the leading manufacturer of sensor technology in the Berlin/Brandenburg region is again hiring new apprentices. They are looking for four young people (m/f/d) who want to learn the trade of industrial mechanic. The FSG Fernsteuergeräte training workshop is located at the Zernsdorf site in Königs Wusterhausen. Currently, twelve apprentices are learning the fundamentals they need for their professional lives there.

It's encouraging that more and more young people are realizing that technical professions are no longer "just for men." For the jobs at FSG remote control devices, one thing is far more important than physical strength: dexterity. In any case, training at FSG provides a solid foundation for entering an exciting and challenging career.

FSG remote control units – the right address

FSG sensor technology can be found in many areas of daily life, even if it's not immediately obvious. Some FSG developments have set the standard in their respective classes, such as Rotary Encoders and cable-operated encoders. These reliable, high-precision products are used in rail vehicles, construction machinery, shipbuilding, and industrial manufacturing – and demand is constantly increasing.

FSG's training workshop is integrated into the Zernsdorf plant, the newest of the company's four locations. To begin the apprenticeship, a secondary school leaving certificate or university entrance qualification is desirable; good knowledge of mathematics and physics, as well as a basic interest in science and technology, are also advantageous. Apprentices receive, among other things, an attractive starting salary (based on the IG Metall collective agreement), 30 days of vacation, and excellent career opportunities after completing their training – the retention rate is almost 90 percent, and many former apprentices now hold management positions.

Interested individuals can find further information about the training content, prerequisites, and of course, the opportunity to apply directly online on the FSG website. The contact person is Dennis Hoffmann, phone +49 3375 26 91 76, email d.hoffmann@fernsteuergeraete.de
