We are a leading supplier and manufacturer of measurement and sensor technology. The group develops joysticks, tilt sensors, and many other components for almost all industrial sectors. For 75 years, the company has concentrated its expertise at its headquarters in Berlin. Together with three other plants in Brandenburg and Hesse, FSG employs more than 500 people.

At bauma 2025, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery in Munich, FSG Fernsteuergeräte will present its broad portfolio of sensors, operating devices, and other products for the industry from April 7 to 13. This includes proven solutions as well as innovative new developments.

As a trade fair innovation, FSG is presenting the high-precision articulated angle rotary encoder.
The MH-CAN-II-GS86 is being presented to the public for the first time. It is specifically designed for use in construction machinery, particularly on the articulated joint of an excavator. The sensor measures the angle of rotation between machine parts and transmits the values to the control system via a CAN bus interface (SAE J1939).

The outstanding features of the MH-CAN-II-GS86 include its high repeatability of 0.05°, exceptional temperature stability, and immunity to external fields, making it insensitive to magnetic interference. Its sensor system is also redundant – thus, the new device from FSG meets the highest demands for precision, safety, and reliability.

Other FSG products for construction machinery

Further highlights include the innovative LPR-2515 steering joystick and the compact, robust SL00-R cable-operated sensor. Visitors to the trade fair can experience the intuitive operation of the LPR-2515 firsthand on a demonstrator: The steering joystick can complement or even replace the traditional steering wheel, offering numerous advantages for both manufacturers of construction machinery and special-purpose vehicles, as well as for operators. At bauma, the version specifically designed for the construction machinery market will be on display as a permanently installed unit.

FSG also offers the SL00-R cable pull sensor for use in construction machinery and mobile machinery, for example, for measuring the outrigger length of mobile cranes. The compact, slim device is robustly built, offering users considerable flexibility in mounting and thus a wide range of applications in harsh working environments.

Adaptive LED headlight unit

In collaboration with a crane manufacturer, FSG has developed a new approach to illuminating the work area: an adaptive headlight unit with two separate, independently controllable LED headlights, each with up to 20,000 lumens. A typical application is its use on mobile cranes for the automatic illumination of the work area and load hook, depending on the constantly changing vehicle position during construction operations.

Previous solutions consisted of two parallel-controlled light sources. In the new solution, one LED unit illuminates the work area, while the other focuses its beam on the load on the hook. Both units adjust automatically depending on the position and movement of the telescopic boom, ensuring optimal illumination of the crane operation in every working position. This also significantly improves workplace safety.

Further projects are in planning – first information at bauma

FSG will use the trade fair to present several new developments, such as in the field of slip ring technology. Visitors to bauma 2025 will find the FSG remote control devices stand in Hall A2, Stand number 227. The FSG team looks forward to speaking with partners, customers, and other interested parties.
