The concept is implemented using multiple LEDs in parallel, with each LED operating at reduced power under normal conditions. If one or more LEDs fail, the power of the remaining functioning LEDs can be increased to maintain the minimum luminous intensity of 2,000 cd. This means the remaining LEDs receive more current and thus generate higher power to compensate for the power loss of the failed LEDs. NORMAL OPERATION Since all LEDs operate at reduced power during normal operation, in the event of LED failures, the power of functioning LEDs can be increased to such an extent that the luminous intensity of 2,000 cd is still guaranteed. in case of MALFUNCTION If individual LEDs fail, the power output of the parallel-connected, functioning LEDs is increased to such an extent that there is no reduction in brightness.
